Marrickville Council, NSW is hosting a free healthy ageing talk to deal with accommodation options for retirement and the common, often misunderstood condition, tinnitus.
If you live in the Marrickville area and are free on Wednesday 16 May from 10.30am – 12.00pm, why not pop along to Marrickville Library, on the corner Marrickville and Petersham Roads for a free healthy ageing talk?
An audiologist from the Hearing and Balance Centre will talk about tinnitus, a hearing disorder usually characterised by a ringing noise, but in some patients, a high-pitched whining, electric buzzing, or hissing. The most common cause of tinnitus is age-related hearing loss.
As well as this, a Centrelink Financial Information Service Officer will provide information about the options for accommodation in retirement, including staying in the family home, moving to something smaller, retirement villages and hostels.
If this is of interest, RSVP on 02 9335 2143. Morning tea will be provided
