Smart Technology for Longevity

With more Australians observing advice to eat well, drink less alcohol, quit smoking and enjoy gentle and frequent exercise, it is not surprising that our life expectancy is increasing. Projections of increased longevity is the basis for the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering’s (ATSE) study, Smart Technology for Healthy Longevity, launched on 22 July.

The report was written by Professor Greg Tegart AM FTSE, who has had a long career in government and industry in the areas of research, teaching, administration and high-level policy advice to government on science, technology and environment. The project was overseen on behalf of ATSE by a steering committee of learned professionals.

An electronic version of the report is available from the ATSE website.
