Brain fitness

November sees the beginning of the seven-day online Brain Fitness Challenge, a competition devised by the Florey Neuroscience Institute to raise funds for brain research. The challenge will also raise awareness of the way brain exercise can help boost the brain and protect it from various disorders, including delaying the onset of Huntington’s disease. Registration is open and the challenge kicks off on November 17.

The format is simple.
Five original cognitive brain challenges are offered in each of the seven levels of challenges, with bonus challenges to earn bonus points. Bonus points may also be earned through achievement of fundraising targets. Teams of five are required to register (paying a fee of $97 per participant) and each team member is encouraged to raise $200 each, or $1000 per team
