This has come at the perfect time for me at 59 & at a cross road in my life at mome (may not have job for much longer) & was considering financial advice/strategic planner & realizing how much they (& the govt, etc) take from our hard earned money in fees, etc. I was told by my super fund that a Strategic Planner would cost me around $4000 to give me some guidance on how to access my super & options related! Seems outrageous to me (& then I’m betting the hard decisions are left to me anyway & I’m at fault if I muck it up anyway!)
Agree, it is wrong after paying taxes all these years that we can be treated so poorly in retirement. And to top it all off if we need a nursing home in our later years we get ripped off by them as well !!
