Shoppers say these $5 Kmart finds are household heroes—would YOU buy them?

In the quest for a tidy and well-organised home, it’s easy to be lured into believing that only high-priced gadgets can provide the best results. But, as thrifty shoppers know, the most effective tools sometimes come with the smallest price tags.

Kmart, a haven for bargain hunters, has once again proven that you don’t need to break the bank to achieve domestic bliss. Recently, shoppers have been raving about three must-have items from this store that are $5 and under and life-changing when it comes to cleaning and organising your home.

First on the list is the Static Lint Brush, priced at a mere $4. This little wonder is a godsend for pet owners and those who want to make their living spaces look immaculate. Shoppers love the brush’s static properties, which make it a magnet for lint, dust, and even the most tenacious pet hairs.

Whether it’s your favourite lounge chair or your go-to sweater, this reusable tool will keep them looking pristine. And when it’s time to clean the brush, simply flipping over the base opening will allow you to rid it of the unwanted fluff.

It’s an eco-friendly alternative to disposable lint rollers and a testament to the power of innovative, sustainable design.

Next, let’s talk about a solution to a problem that plagues many of us: closet chaos. The Five-Tier Collapsible Pant Hanger, available for just $5, is a marvel of space-saving engineering.

Imagine hanging five pairs of pants where only one could before. This hanger can be used vertically to maximise space or horizontally for convenience, and it’s not just for pants—skirts and scarves are also fair game.

Customers are singing its praises, with one noting, ‘Bought two of these hangers for my pants and skirts. They keep everything so neat and tidy, and my clothes do not slide off. Highly recommend!’

Another shopper found an innovative use for it: ‘I also use one on my washing line to save space.’

‘Best buy. Great way to store all my jeans, I was able to empty a couple of draws,’ one shopper said.

Last but certainly not least, there’s the Microfibre Cleaning Handle, also priced at $5. This tool is a must-have for anyone who craves spotless windows and dust-free surfaces.

The press-button mechanism is a clever feature that allows you to attach and release the microfibre cloth without soiling your hands. It’s perfect for tackling windows, mirrors, and even floors, ensuring a streak-free finish every time.

  1. I despair of the English language. For decades I’ve loathed that people can’t tell the difference between the words “drawer” and “draw”. That’s almost by the wayside now, as even the most intelligent people apparently have forgotten how to conjugate a verb (mostly the verb “go”), and are using “tooken” and the like as if it’s correct. Death cannot come quickly enough, frankly.
