Game of Thrones

Why not hire the first two seasons and indulge in some quality television?

Game of Thrones

The third season of HBO’s series Game of Thrones, based on a series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin, is well underway. The show is set in a fictional world where a number of different factions are fighting for the right to rule on the ‘Iron Throne’. Although this is technically a fantasy series I would describe it as more of a political thriller with great costumes.

Game of Thrones is known for being heavy-handed with the five main food groups – politics, sex, religion, violence and intrigue. If you are easily offended, find animal cruelty too hard to watch or cannot follow a complex plot line then this probably isn’t the show for you. But for all that I think that the clever script, brilliant acting and high-budget sets and costumes make this one of the most exciting shows on television at the moment.

So why review a show which has been around for three years? As they say, winter is coming, and now is the perfect time to hire the first two seasons and indulge in some high-quality television.
