SJ is delighted with this handy-to-carry raincoat which actually looks good.
I’ve always had a bone to pick with umbrellas. Not only are they powerless against their enemy, Mr Wind, but you often still end up getting wet, either while putting them up and down, or walking in-between other umbrella wielding perambulators. In fact every time I use an umbrella, I dream of it having clear walls to the ground so my outfit does not get wet. Thankfully, the kind people at EnviroTrend have saved me the trouble of going into the umbrella business.
From the people who brought you the SAKitToMe and PAKitToMe bag solutions, now comes the SPLASHitToMe raincoat. As with its other products, this one is practical, compact and incredibly clever. The transformer of raincoats, it lives in its own pocket.
At the first sign of rain you simply unzip the top of the pocket and pull out your waterproof nylon raincoat. Caring for it is straightforward as well; line dry after use, turn the pocket inside out and start stuffing the raincoat back into its pocket before re-zipping and keeping at the ready for the next unexpected downpour.
It’s all in the details
Do not be fooled by its handy size. The SPLASHitToMe raincoat comes with all the trimmings you’d expect, including press-studs down the front, elasticised arm cuffs and elastic toggles to adjust the hood opening. It also has two front pockets, one of which has a secret zip compartment, which you may recognise as its ‘house’.
Why I like it
Not only is the SPLASHitToMe everything it promises to be; compact and practical, but it is also very generously sized, meaning that it can fit over the bulkiest of outfits including winter coats. It’s perfect for travel and commuting as it doesn’t weigh a lot and can easily be carried around during the day. Most importantly it comes in five fantastic colours; raspberry, pistachio, aqua, navy and tangerine. Who said winter had to be dull?
