Top 10 travel films

Before lockdown, I didn’t watch a lot of movies. But since the start of the pandemic the screen has become my little window into the rest of the world.

To distract myself from pining over far-off destinations, I’ve taken to filling my hours with travel films. These are my personal favourite travel movies of all time, do you agree?

Roman Holiday (1953)

National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983)

Thelma and Louise (1991)

Murder on the Orient Express (1974)

Out of Africa (1985)

Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987)

The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert (1994)

Under the Tuscan Sun (2003)

The Motorcycle Diaries (2004)

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011)
