Serves: 12

Time: 45 minutes

    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar (or to taste)
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda

    • 2 cups rolled oats

Stir in the vanilla extract and mix in salt, baking soda, baking powder, flour, rolled oats, chocolate chips, raisins and, if desired, the chopped nuts. Mix well to moisten all ingredients, and spread into the prepared baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
