Former Olympic swimmer Grant Hackett has been relieved of his ambassador role with an anti-violence charity following the release of pictures showing the aftermath of alleged damage he had done to his home after a night of partying.
The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, a national charity protecting children from violence, made their announcement yesterday and thanked Hackett for the work he had done.
This decision followed the publishing of photos detailing the alleged rampage Hackett went on after Derby Day celebrations in Melbourne last year. Hackett’s personal life has made a number of headlines this year and on May 3 he officially announced that he had separated from his wife, Candice Alley.
Have the Alannah and Madeline Foundation made the right decision?
