Saving time at the airport

If you find that you’re always rushing to catch your plane, we have some advice on how to save yourself time at the airport.

  • always try to check in online
  • call or check the airline website to make sure that your flight is leaving on time
  • do not pack anything dangerous in your bag
  • wear comfortable shoes that are easy to take on and off
  • go straight to your gate as some are quite a lengthy walk away
  • request a front or back seat when checking in, so you will be one of the first to leave the plane
  • try to travel with no check in bags
  • identify your bag with a ribbons or stickers
  • try flying in offpeak times and dates.

    they have brought out these new passports so when you come back to Australia you just go to a service kiosk and it identifies you by your photo the only problem is if you wear glasses you have to take them off and push some buttons to answer some questions I was holding up the queue and some supervisor came up to me I told him I cant read without my glasses on he ended up helping me but told me they were not supposed to push the buttons for travellers so how can you push the buttons when you cant see the wrighting without glasses on and you are told to take your glasses off its supposed to be quicker but its a lot slower government beauracats at their worst again

    and Basil Fawlty couldn't give his customers proper and courteous service, because as he said, he was too busy running a hotel.
