Simple Spinach Piet

Our Simple Spinach Pie uses everyday ingredients to create a tasty and satisfying vegetarian meal. Serve with a side salad for lunch or dinner.

Serves: 4-6 people     
Time: 50 minutes


  • 4 eggs
  • 250g feta cheese
  • 250g cottage cheese
  • 1 packet of frozen spinach
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • sour cream (optional)


Preheat oven to 190°C. Grease a shallow baking dish and then place in the oven to heat.

In a bowl, combine eggs, feta, cottage cheese, spinach, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Remove the dish from the oven and fill with the mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and bake for 35 minutes. Cut into portions and serve with a little sour cream on top, if desired.
