The best takeaway food apps

The days of picking up your phone to order food, then driving to pick up your order to save a few bucks are long gone. Today, it’s easier and often cheaper to order via an app on your phone. But which apps are the best?

Menulog
This is one of the most popular food apps, and being the most popular comes with a lot of power. Menulog are able to negotiate with restaurants to offer significant loyalty discounts and first-time freebies. So, if you are happy to change restaurants frequently, you can put away quite a bit of free food. They also have one of the largest catalogue of restaurants from which to choose.

Deliveroo
The app promises delivery in under 30 minutes, and allows you to track your food in real time. They have a good range of restaurants to choose from, but they do have a more limited service area than Menulog.

Foodora
Unlike other food apps, Foodora claims to have carefully curated its list of restaurants to ensure that you can only order from the best. This means that it might not have your favourite restaurant available; however, if you are trying something for the first time, you can be assured that the quality should meet some pretty high standards.

EatNow
The second biggest player in the food market, EatNow offers around 7500 restaurants on its catalogue and is growing every day.
