This delicious honey pear dessert is great served on its own, or you can be a little naughty and add some whipped cream or ice-cream.
- 4 pears
- 60g butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
- Toasted flaked almonds
Peel the pears, cut in half and remove the cores.
In a large pan combine the butter, honey, cinnamon and water. Stir until the sauce boils.
Add the pears, cover and simmer until the pears are soft. Remove to a serving dish.
Continue simmering the sauce until it thickens.
Spoon over the pears and sprinkle the toasted almonds on top.
