An inexpensive dinner option, these Tasty Beef Burritos will satisfy any hunger.
450g minced beef
1 Old El Paso burrito kit
1 450g can refried beans
1 cup thickly grated tasty cheese
4 teaspoons canola oil
2 chopped tomatoes
1 handful of sliced lettuce
In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink and then drain the excess oil. Stir in taco seasoning. In a small saucepan, cook the refried beans over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
Now spoon the beans evenly into the eight burrito wraps slightly off-centre and top with beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce, salsa and sour cream. Fold sides and ends of the wrap and enjoy!
Optional: Before placing the lettuce, tomato, salsa and sour cream in the burrito, fold up the sides of the wrap and in a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown burritos in oil on all sides. Place the burritos on a plate and unwrap sides carefully place the lettuce, tomato, salsa and sour cream inside the burrito. Fold up and enjoy!
