Turkey Tacos

Our recipe for Healthy Turkey Tacos are a lighter alternative to regular tacos. With fresh spices, each bite is alive with taste too.

Serves: Two

Time: 15 minutes


  • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 170g turkey mince
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 4 tortillas
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup salsa



In a small bowl, stir the chilli powder, cumin and oregano. In a non-stick frying pan, heat the oil then add the turkey and onion. Cook over medium heat until the turkey is browned. Add the spices to the turkey mixture and stir.  Warm up the tortillas in the microwave for 45 seconds. Place a 1/4 cup of the turkey mixture in each tortilla. Top each with one tablespoon cheese, a quarter of the diced tomatoes, half a cup of shredded lettuce and two tablespoons of salsa. Fold in both sides of each tortilla over the filling, and then roll to close. Serve immediately.
