Ten-Minute Spaghetti and Meatballs

Spaghetti and Meatballs is one of the ultimate comfort foods and it’s so good because it doesn’t take much time to make, nor is it expensive.

Serves four

500g of sausage meat (you can simply choose your favourite sausages and remove the meat from the skins)
1 onion, finely diced
800g tin of tomatoes
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese for garnish

Cook spaghetti as per packet instructions.
Meanwhile, heat some oil in a large frying pan. Roughly shape the sausage meat into balls, no need for them to be perfect, and fry until cooked which will only take a few minutes.
In a separate frying pan, fry the garlic and onions. Add the tomatoes and basil and bring to the boil. Add the vinegar and reduce to a simmer. Add the meatballs to the tomato sauce and toss together. Drain the pasta and add to the tomato sauce and toss together.

Pour into a large serving bowl and season to taste. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.
