Are your points safe? Popular Australian loyalty program is ending soon

If you’re a fan of racking up points every time you treat yourself to a new pair of jeans or a stylish top, you might want to check your inbox.

One of Australia’s most popular retail loyalty programs will close its doors for good at the end of next month. For many shoppers, this marks the end of an era—but it’s not all doom and gloom.

Just Group, the retail powerhouse behind beloved brands like Dotti, Jacqui E, Jay Jays, Just Jeans, and Portmans, has announced that its Just Shop Rewards program will officially shut down on 30 June.

This move comes as Just Group prepares to join forces with department store giant Myer, following Myer’s $950 million acquisition of Premier Investment’s Apparel Brands division last October.

If you’re a member of Just Shop Rewards, you’ll still be able to earn points on your purchases until the end of June, and you can redeem your benefits up until 26 July.

What’s next?

From 1 August, Just Shop Rewards will merge into the MYER one loyalty program.

If you’re already a Just Shop Rewards member, you’ll be automatically invited to join MYER one, so you can keep earning rewards when you shop at your favourite Just Group brands, both in-store and online.

You should have received an email from Just Group explaining the change and outlining the next steps.

A follow-up email will arrive soon, giving you all the details needed to complete your MYER one membership and enjoy the new benefits.

Not keen on making the switch? No problem. You can opt out of joining MYER by contacting Just Group directly.

What does this mean for your points and perks?

  • Earn and redeem: You can continue to earn Just Shop Rewards points until 30 June and use your benefits until 26 July.
  • Transition to MYER one: From 1 August, you’ll start earning MYER one points instead, which can be redeemed across Myer and participating Just Group brands.
  • No points lost: While the specifics of how your existing points will transfer haven’t been detailed, the transition ensures you don’t miss out on rewards.

This shake-up is part of a broader retail trend: consolidation. As big brands join forces, they’re streamlining their loyalty programs to offer shoppers a more unified—and hopefully more rewarding—experience.

For Myer, bringing Just Group’s brands under the MYER one umbrella means more opportunities for customers to earn and redeem points across a broader range of stores.

If you’re new to MYER one, here’s a quick rundown:

  • Earn points: For every $1 you spend at Myer or participating brands, you earn 2 MYER one Credits.
  • Rewards: Once you reach 2,000 Credits, you’ll receive a $20 Reward Card.
  • Exclusive offers: Members can access special sales, events, and birthday treats.

With Just Group brands joining the program, you’ll have even more ways to earn points—whether you’re shopping for a new outfit at Portmans or picking up a gift at Dotti.

Loyalty programs have become a staple of the Australian retail landscape, especially for those who appreciate a good deal and a little extra value for their hard-earned dollars. But as the retail world changes, so do these programs.

Mergers like this one are becoming more common, as brands look to simplify their offerings and create bigger, better rewards ecosystems.

For shoppers, this can mean more flexibility and more ways to earn points—but it can also mean saying goodbye to familiar programs and learning the ropes of new ones.

Are you a Just Shop Rewards member? Will you switch to MYER one, or are you sad to see the old program go? Have you had good (or not-so-good) experiences with loyalty programs? We’d love to hear your thoughts and stories—share them in the comments below!
