Kmart shoppers rush to grab this ‘so hot’ $119 designer dupe—will you?

In the world of travel, style and functionality often come with a hefty price tag. Designer luggage can be a symbol of luxury and status, but for many Australians, the dream of owning a high-end suitcase seems out of reach.

That is until now. Kmart, a household name for budget-friendly finds, has once again surprised savvy shoppers with an item that’s causing quite the stir—a suitcase that mirrors the aesthetics of a $3,200 designer piece for a fraction of the cost.

Jordyn Henley, an Australian content creator, couldn’t contain his excitement when he discovered the silver hard case luggage at Kmart, complete with TSA-approved locks.

The suitcases, available in two sizes—72cm for $119 and 48cm for $79—are a spitting image of the luxury brand RIMOWA’s offerings, which are known for their sleek design and durable anodised aluminium construction.

‘I have never gone to Kmart so fast in my life… I got RIMOWA suitcase dupes,’ exclaimed Jordyn in a video that quickly went viral, showcasing his enthusiasm for the bargain. ‘I drove so fast to Kmart, I don’t think there’s any tread left on my tyres. I’m not kidding. I got not one but two suitcases for $200. You’re actually kidding me?’

The allure of the Kmart suitcases isn’t just in their striking resemblance to the designer brand, which is part of the prestigious Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy (LVMH) group. It’s also in the undeniable value they offer.

While RIMOWA’s suitcases are a symbol of luxury travel, complete with a lifetime guarantee, Kmart’s alternative provides a similar look and essential features, such as metal locks, at a price point that’s accessible to a wider audience.

‘Everyone get to Kmart before they sell out,’ Jordyn urged his followers, aware of the potential rush for these hot-ticket items. ‘200 dollars for two suitcases, f***ing bargain darling. That’s so hot.’

The response from the public has been overwhelming, with many echoing Jordyn’s sentiment and rushing to their local Kmart in hopes of snagging their own set of stylish luggage. The video has amassed over 175,000 views, and comments have flooded in from viewers sharing their own excitement and success stories of acquiring the suitcases.

However, it’s not just the visual appeal that has caught the attention of consumers. Practicality is key when it comes to travel gear, and Kmart shoppers have confirmed that these suitcases hold up well on their journeys. Although a few have reported issues with the wheels, they remind others of the importance of keeping receipts for easy exchanges or returns, should any problems arise.

As the excitement surrounding this Kmart find continues to grow, it’s clear that shoppers are eager to discover affordable alternatives without compromising on style. With its striking resemblance to a high-end designer suitcase, it’s easy to see why this item has captured so much attention.

What do you think of Kmart’s latest suitcase offering? Have you had a chance to try it out, or are you planning to grab one for your next trip? We’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences—feel free to share in the comments below.
