Help fix my Facebook woes

YOURLifeChoices member Christine is at the end of her tether with her Mac. She has followed Drew’s defragging advice, which helped, but Facebook is playing up. Can Drew help?

Q. Christine
For the past two weeks my Mac has been slow and doing odd things. I did the two cleanups you suggested and it does seem to be a bit faster.

One odd thing I haven’t been able to fix is that on Facebook some of my pictures do not appear, while others do. My friends’ pictures are blank and so is my own and now I cannot use the words game function.

I have emailed Facebook but had no answer. Do you have any thoughts on what might be the problem? I really have no idea.

I can’t be 100 per cent sure on what the exact problem is, but I am going to assume it is one of the below. So, please give them both a try and let me know if either works.

The first thing you should do is download the latest version of Java by visiting the following website: //

Go through all the processes and install. Now that you have downloaded Java, you should also download the latest version of Adobe Flash. You can find this by visiting the following website: //

You will most likely be prompted to restart you computer.

This should hopefully fix the problem. If all else fails, I would recommend trying a different web browser to Safari.

Download either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. They seem to be better web browsers overall.

I really appreciated Drew’s advice and now the Mac is running beautifully!
Thanks again – you probably saved me a small fortune in bypassing a technician 🙂
