iPad1, iPad2, how to get a deal

Another year, another iSomething released by Apple. So, what is so great about the iPad 2 and what does it mean for the price of the original iPad?

In a nut shell, the iPad 2 is a faster, lighter and thinner version of its predecessor. The iPad 2 includes a front and rear facing camera to allow for the taking of photos and video chat. Unfortunately, the iPad 2 has taken the same route on design by excluding an SD card slot and USB port. It is also missing Retina Display, which is a high-density pixel display which packs in about four times the number of pixels as standard displays, which Apple included on the iPhone 4.

Overall the iPad 2 is a nice ‘upgrade’ in technology but, nothing mind blowing. If you are interested in buying an iPad product, but are on a tight budget, then log onto www.ebay.com.au where you can find used iPads up for sale under the $400 mark! Alternatively, stores which stock iPads are selling the original iPad at discounted prices. We have also learned that Apple stores are selling used iPads for up to $80 below shelf-price.

Below we have listed the prices for the new iPad 2.

iPad 2 with Wi-Fi 16GB A$ 579.00
iPad 2 with Wi-Fi 32GB A$ 689.00
iPad 2 with Wi-Fi 64GB A$ 799.00
iPad 2 with Wi-Fi/3G 16GB A$ 729.00
