Backing up your Android phone

Ron reads about how easy it is to back up an iPhone, but as a Samsung phone owner, he wants to know if there’s an easier way to back up his Android device.

Q. Ron
In a recent article you were advising how to bank up an iPhone. Can you please do the same for the Samsung Android smartphone?

A. Unfortunately, backing up Android devices is not as easy as Apple devices.

However, Samsung has recently introduced a cloud storage system which can back up your device.

You get 15GB for free, and more can be purchased through your smartphone.

Hope this helps!

I have a Samsung Galaxy and I use Smart Switch to backup my phone. You need cable to attach your phone to your laptop (I bought one from Australia Post). Download SmartSwitch, plug your phone into your laptop, run Smart Switch and select Backup.

I use my LG Android just to talk to people. I keep ohone numbers in notebooks. No need to back anything up then. I do all my computing on a computer.

Not as easy as Apple devices....really??

Samsung has a program called "Smart Switch", install on your PC, connect with the charger cable and backup the phone to the PC or you can backup to Samsung Cloud. With Samsung Cloud you can retrieve the data anywhere in the world.
