Call Forwarding is a nifty little trick that means you’ll never have to miss a phone call again. It means all inbound calls will be referred from your usual number and forwarded to a number you specify. Today, we’ll show you how to activate it on your iOS or Android device.
iOS
- open Settings and scroll down until the ‘Phone’ icon appears
- tap Phone then tap Call Forwarding, flip to On
- a text box will prompt you to enter a new phone number
- tap back and exit Settings
The changes will now have taken effect. Repeat the process to turn Call Forwarding off.
Android
- from the Home screen, tap the phone icon
- tap the Action Overflow icon (this will appear as three dots); on some phones, you will need to touch the Menu icon to see a list of commands instead
- tap Settings or Call Settings
- tap Call Forwarding
- choose from the selection of forwarding options
- set the new forwarding number
- finally, tap Enable or OK to activate the changes.
Repeat the process to turn Call Forwarding off.
