Senior-friendly phone

YOURLifeChoices subscriber Jenny has found the holy grail of mobile phones, one which is easy to use and affordable. If you’re in the market for a new phone, you might want to read Jenny’s review.

Dick Smith sells a basic senior-friendly unlocked mobile phone for $99. ‘Ezy-Key’ uses a Nokia battery, has very large buttons, loud ring-tones for those who need it and a built-in torch.

There is also an SOS button on the back which operates a loud emergency alarm. This can also have up to five family phone numbers programmed into it, aside from the normal phone book contact numbers.

I’ve had many mobiles prior to this one but after six months I wouldn’t swap it for any other. It also has a built-in FM radio, but no camera. I find that most seniors prefer to use a digital camera, as do I, as this still allows one to upload them to the PC.
