The cheapest iPhone SE plans on each network

Apple has launched the new iPhone SE (2022) – a budget handset that looks like an iPhone 8, but it has the brains of the iPhone 13.

Priced at just $719 for the 64GB model, the iPhone SE is the cheapest Apple handset available out of the box, so if you’re looking into the SE chances are you’ll want a budget-friendly plan to match.

Regardless of why you’re saving your pennies, we’ve compiled the cheapest iPhone SE plans available on each network.

Vodafone

As no surprise to anyone, Vodafone has the cheapest plans available alongside the iPhone SE. Thanks to a range of bonus data offers, the provider offers the best data-to-dollar value out of the three major telcos at the moment.

While most people can probably get by on the $40 Lite Plan with 40GB of data, the $55 Super Plan now comes with 140GB of bonus data and a $5 discount. This gives you a huge 200GB of data for just $50 per month, plus the monthly phone repayments.

The bonus data offerings last for the life of your plan with Vodafone.

Vodafone and the TPG network cover 96 per cent of the Australian population.

Optus

The cheapest Optus option is the $45 Optus Choice Plus Plan, which comes with 20GB of data, but that might not be enough for some users. The next step up will cost you $55 per month and give you a solid 80GB to use per month. For the vast majority of Australians, this will be more than enough data.

However, if you really want to go all out on data, the $115 Optus Plus Promo Plan is down to $65 per month and comes with 500GB per month. The promotional pricing will last for 12 months with the provider before reverting back to the original cost, but because this plan is contract-free you can always swap to a cheaper alternative once the deal is up.

Telstra

Telstra, unsurprisingly, has the most expensive plans to bundle with your iPhone SE, but it does have a range of deals going on to sweeten the pot.

The cheapest plan available is the $55 Small Upfront Plan that comes with 40GB of data. However, this plan doesn’t come with access to the 5G network, which means you won’t be able to take full advantage of the new features of this handset.

The $115 Extra Large Upfront plan is discounted to just $65 per month for the first 12 months, meaning that for $10 extra per month you will not only get access to 5G but you’ll also get a whopping 180GB of data to play with. Since this plan is contract-free you can always drop back down to a lower allowance once the first year is up.

Every plan above $55 per month comes with a bonus 12 months of Disney Plus bundled in as well.
