A new feature added earlier this week, Facebook has responded to the Google+ threat by implementing a new way of arranging what you see on your feed, allowing you to sort your friends and family into specific lists.
Facebook have taken what Google+ do so well in their group’s delivery system and replicated it onto the Facebook website through the lists page. To visit your lists you can click on the Lists icon in the left navigation panel of your Facebook page or by visiting //www.facebook.com/bookmarks/lists.
The lists page allows you to create new lists or edit current lists such as ‘Family’, ‘Close friends’ or even ‘Acquaintances’. Let’s start by adding some friends to a list.
Start by clicking on the word ‘Acquaintances’. Now you will be presented with the screen pictured below. Click on the ‘Add friends’ button. A new screen will pop-up which will let you choose any number of people on your friends list to add to this list. Once you have worked your way through the list of friends selecting the desired people, click ‘Done’ at the bottom right of the pop-up. These people are now added to this list.
Congratulations, you have now created your first list!
