Google indoor maps

Font Size:

Expanding on what is already an extremely helpful free product, Google has launched indoor maps for 200 locations across the country.

There are over 10,000 inside maps around the world available on Google Maps. With 200 popular locations around Australia, such as 10 train stations, sports venues, shopping centres, art galleries and department stores, finding your way around has just got a lot easier.

To increase the accuracy of the location services, the technology uses nearby wifi networks and mobile towers, rather than GPS, to determine your location when using Google indoor maps. Initially, Google has released the indoor mapping program for Android devices and desktop clients only, with iPhone users expected to be able to use the software further down the track.
