The perfect roadtrip companion for your car

Going on a roadtrip? Transform your ride with this perfect companion for your car.

There’s nothing quite like hitting the open road. Especially when we live in such a beautiful country with scenery that’s impossible to get boring.

While there are many joys of roadtrips, one of the downsides is definitely the limitations that come with being stuck behind the wheel as the designated driver. It’s hard not to envy your passengers as they eat, sleep and entertain themselves to their hearts content while you take one for the team, and keep your eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel.

Thankfully an ingenious travel gadget is here to help. Making the most of your cup holder, it allows you to install a swivel tray. Gone are the days of juggling food on your lap or worse, being at the mercy of your passengers to feed you. Now you can simply place your food on your handy tray. Not just for food, the tray can be used to keep anything important at your fingertips, such as sunglasses, saving you having to rummage around for it – a task that is obviously dangerous.

Able to be raised or lowered to your preferred height, the tray features a non-skid surface to ensure that your items don’t slide around causing chaos in your car. This is an accessory your car can’t be without for your next roadtrip; just make sure your front seat drivers don’t swivel it towards their side – after all, as the driver, you deserve it the most!

RRP: approx. $18 plus shipping from Amazon.

I was about to buy one of these, but after reading a number of customer reviews, decided against it. Seems the base does not fit snugly in most cup holders, so it flops around, which means you can't leave things on there, while on the move. Nice concept, but lacks adjustment. It may well fit certain cars, but read the reviews first!

Most cars made in the last few years have built-in cup holders and more than enough room on or in the console or door pocket to store phone, charger, lollies, specs, etc, etc. I regards to your burger and fries, should a driver REALLY be eating whilst controlling a vehicle at the same time? This is tantamount to using a mobile phone while driving. I don't want to sound like a "goodie-goodie", but this "dish on a stick" is like one foot in the hospital bed, or grave, for the one behind the wheel and their passengers. Foolish idea.

A sudden stop and that drink container will spill all over the place!
Needs to be wedged into a hole.
