Flashmob

I often watch Flashmob videos and particularly love the Irish dancing.
Are there any that you really enjoy watching ?

Here is one to get the show started

Love the Flashmobs Gerry, trying to think of some of them. The Irish one you put up is a very happy one.

That was great Gerry, thank you.

This is one of my favourites ... the Russian Wedding ... Puttin' on the Ritz.

Thanks RnR - they always bring a smile to my face.

Yep like irish dancing and gaelic music generally....

Didn't realise they were called 'Flashmob' but yes often do come across these videos posted in different locations around the ridges and enjoy them when I do..

Great thread Gerry, love watching them. They are like bubbles of spontaneous joy suddenly appearing then disappearing around the place. Trouble is you've got me hooked now, watch one and keeping watching more and more :)))

Luv irish dancin.

Im a pretty good dancer 2 but hav to improve 2 be as good as those in da vid    :)

This video isn't exactly a Flash Mob but similar ... love the very end where the young boy (trying his hand at drumming) takes his drum back.

:(   Wish I could dance ... have got 'two left feet'.

RnR --  That one by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra was great, I know some of the members. Ravel's Bolero is one of my favourite pieces. Once you start watching Flash Mob you have to keep watching others. I too loved the Russian Wedding one.

Some bizarre (to me) associated trivia:

• In 19th-century Tasmania, the term flash mob was used to describe a subculture consisting of female prisoners, based on the term flash language for the jargon that these women used. The 19th-century Australian term flash mob referred to a segment of society, not an event, and showed no other similarities to the modern term flash mob or the events it describes.

• The first modern flash mobs were created in Manhattan in 2003, by Bill Wasik, senior editor of Harper's Magazine.

Som Sabadell flashmob - BANCO SABADELL - YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com › watch

That was great. Thanks Vivity.

Thanks Viv, and yes watching yhe young ones enjoy it adds to my smile.

It was one of my favourite tunes years ago but I still enjoy it to this day. I mean "Zorba's Dance" by Mikis Theodorakis.

Now there are several flash mob versions and it is hard to pick between them. But one I like is FlashMob in Manchester - Greek Zorbas
