LottoLand Australia

Hi Members,

Earlier this year I purchased a Lotto ticket through Lottoland Australia to participate in entering a very large American Lotto Jackpot.

No luck & used them just once more after that.

Recently my wife & I returned from visiting Scandinavia to discover three fraudulent cash advance transactions on credit card carried out whilst in Danmark & Sweden, these small amounts then starting getting larger & larger..

Upon reporting this fraud to our bank were told the culprit was Lottoland Australia (their Headquarters in Gibraltar which is a tax haven)

On their website it states "Is My Personal Data Safe With Lottoland?"

Lottoland... Short Answer.. YES

Lottoland... Long answer..We are legally required to take all the necessary steps to ENSURE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION that is shared with us REMAINS SECURE.

EVERTHING WE DO IS MONITORED AND CHECKED BY OFFICIAL THIRD PARTIES WHO ENSURE WE ARE ALWAYS PROVIDING THE BEST POSSIBLE SERVICES TO OUR CUSTOMERS.

Austalian Lotto punters please be aware of this company.

Credit Card was cancelled by our bank & another issued. These were unsolicited transactions & we have received full payment back from our bank very promptly.

Your personal banking information is obviously NOT secure.

Beware.As in The Forrest Gump Movie..RUN FORREST..RUN..

Thanks for the warning Allan

There is a lot of scammers out there who want to part you with your money.

had a new scam today,    someone rang said from telstra,    going to work out a better phone deal for you,    knew it was a scam as telstra do not cold call,  but went along with him   until he asked me my date of birth,    when i gave him a wrong date,  and he said,  yes,  thats it,    i knew it was scam and not very politly told him where to go,     on;ly thing i can think of is they want to know who is there,    and prehaps target your place,    cause he had address,   so beware,

Unless you pay Telstra an annual fee your name and address is in the phone and online.

Cannot understand why one has to pay an annual fee to have a private number.

I have been wondering if foreigners in the American lotteries will be paid should they win.  Given that almost all US offers have a disclaimer saying that offers are only open to US citizens I am inclined to think that an offshore winner may not get the dough should they win.

Anybody know more about this>

Mick.  I understand that they pay out of their own funds and, they carry insurance against the bigs wins.

I have received lots of small wins off them.

Got a call this afternoon from a guy with foreign accent telling me he was from Windows ??? So i told him my windows did not require cleaning,

The exasperated bloke said he was ringing about my computer ..... so I told him I did not have one.

He  hung up ... did not even say good bye :)

Just another scammer I would guess, especially seeing that  I am still using XP which Microsoft no longer supports.
