Toot, Manuka Honey is used as a treatment in medical circles. It's reputed to be a great healer on wounds and inflammations.
It's always been very expensive as it only comes from the Manuka Tree, mainly from New Zealand.
Read about it here

Thanks Sandi, I found this in your link
How Manuka Honey Is UsedThe main medical use for manuka honey is on top of a wound. It is generally used for treating minor wounds and burns.
Manuka honey is also marketed for use in many other conditions. These include:
Preventing and treating cancerReducing high cholesterolReducing systemic inflammationTreating diabetesTreating eye, ear, and sinus infectionsTreating gastrointestinal problemsBut the evidence is limited on whether or not manuka honey is effective for these conditions.
I wonder if anyone on the forum has ever used this honey.
My Son burned his legs badly and he used the Manuka Honey and it helped healing better than anything else
This sells for $140 a jar....
