The LNP's Record

It seems the massive purge of abuse on the forums a couple of days ago has made it impossible to make new posts in the LNP Record thread. So here's a new soapbox.

I think it's valid to have an ongoing thread watching the performance of the mob currently in charge in Canberra. They've been there three years now, so should have achived something. Right?

Let's stay nice about it.

Now, let's have a look at the NSW Liberal Govt and see how they are doing!

Baird government replaces local employees with 457 visa workers

 Anna Patty Anna Patty

IT professionals are being hired on 457 visas in preference to Australian workers at the same time the NSW government outsources public services.

The Public Service Association has called for an urgent inquiry into the Baird government's decision to contract out public services, replacing full-time local jobs with overseas workers on temporary work visas.

Teaching the code for tomorrow

Students at Regent's Park Christian School are being trained in IT skills for the jobs of the future.

In response to questions from Greens MP David Shoebridge, the government has confirmed it has used people on 457 visas to fill 32 full-time jobs following its decision to outsource ServiceFirst which looks after IT, human resources and payroll services. Minister for Finance, Services and Property Dominic Perrottet? said that 32 workers "will continue in the role".

"Australia has real depth in IT skills so it is quite extraordinary for the NSW government to bring in 32 workers under 457 visas," Mr Shoebridge said.

"These are the very jobs we want our young IT graduates and IT professionals to be filling so that we build on our local skill base and deliver a strong economic future for the state."

The PSA fears the government decision is the start of a downward spiral in employment that will flow through to other public services and the disability sector, which will soon be privatised.

"Skilled, experienced local workers in full-time employment are being thrown on the jobs scrapheap by the Baird government through its mass privatisation program and replaced by foreign workers on temporary visas," ?PSA general secretary Stewart Little said.

457 visa holders are supposed to ONLY be employed when there is a skilled shortage in Australia!!!!  The NSW Govt are abusing these visa conditions and ABUSING AUSTRALIAN WORKERS..... as someone jokingly stated..... of course there is a skills shortage if you ask for 40 years IT experience which you want to pay APPRENTICESHIP WAGES for!!!!!

Neo Con political/economic dogma will DESTROY Australia.... all this employment money (OUR MONEY) is going overseas with very little spent in Australia and helping our economy grow.

457 visa holder legislation is being abused to FILL the POCKETS of CORPORATIONS who are looking short term and don't care that they are sending Australia down a spiral of UNEMPLOYMENT, POVERTY, SLUMS, VIOLENT & ESCALATING CRIME, DRUG USE OVER THE TOP, UNDERFUNDED or non funding of our PUBLIC education & health, and eventually to their own demise (unless of course they are one of the really big boys).

STOP THIS ABUSE and ROT of AUSTRALIA'S STANDARD of LIVING and the transference from EGALITARIANISM to ELITISM because THAT is what they are doing.... that is the very essence of NEO CON political/economic dogma.

REPEAT from PREVIOUS PAGE:

Well my my...... MORE disgusting MISMANAGEMENT and CORRUPTION from this LIBERAL GOVT.

TURNBULL made an election promise that his govt. would NOT fund Adani (an INDIAN monster corporationwho:

- has more income, assets and power than many, many nations

- has disgusting environmental record (is still in court over the total destruction of a rare environment the corporation legally stated it would protect)

- employs 457 Indian visa holders who effectly are helped to stay in Australia

- knows these employees send their money OUT of Australia which doesn't help our economy

- sends it's own profits and money overseas which doesn't help Australia or its economy one iota

- doesn't pay taxes

- gets rebates for their power and water (which WE pay for)

- pays some of the lowest royalties in the world for OUR resources (see next comment about how pathetic our govt is re: OUR gas resource income)

NOW, Turnbull has done a total RENEG and is agreeing to fund ADANI'S railway from the Carmichael mine to Abbott point with OUR taxpayer taxes to the tune of $1 BILLION.

The banks refused to fund this horror project because it was so unpopular and therefore making it unviable, so in steps our IDIOT PM "Malware Turncoat" to fill the gap and crawl on all fours, to this giant parasitical corporation.

The GREAT BARRIER REEF is already under threat and we are UNLEASHING this monstrocity to TRASH it completely.

After this mob finish, making mega profits, they will withdraw with their BOOTY and leave their TRASH behind AND the Gt Barrier Reef dead.

We the people will have to foot the clean up bill and accept the loss of our "world wonders" and our tourist industries.... good one, aye!

For WHAT you may ask.... the benefit to Australia is about 800 jobs (if we are lucky) and some piddling royalties put that against the destruction of our environment, the removal of our resources, the removal of profits and employment wages from our economy and the need to fund this giant megacorp and that Australia will need to spend billions cleaning up the mess.... it really is rather STUPID, isn't it.

To Support small/medium business to counteract and compete with overseas online businesses and to be innovative and creative....would employ a lot, lot, lot more than 800 jobs... more like 8000 jobs and the profits stay in Australia and they pay taxes.... DUH!

REPEAT from PREVIOUS PAGE:

MORE IMBECILIC & GROSS MISMANAGEMENT  of Australia's affairs by Malware Turncoat and his nasty band of greedy incompetents.("corrupt" would be a more apt word in my opinion - as this mongrel can't be THAT stupid).

Turnbull government called on to explain where Australia's offshore gas wealth is going

 Heath Aston Heath Aston

It's a story of two resource-rich countries with two very different ways of harnessing the wealth they are blessed with.

By 2021 Australia will eclipse the Persian Gulf state of Qatar to become the world's biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas.

 Long wait for LNG royalties

Malcolm Turnbull approved the massive LNG project in 2007 - but it won't pay the Commonwealth a cent for another two decades.

In that year, when both countries are forecast to pump and ship roughly 100 billion cubic metres of LNG each, Qatar's government will receive $26.6 billion in royalties from the multinational companies exploiting its offshore gasfields.

According to Treasury estimates, Australia will receive just $800 million for the same volume of gas leaving its shores.

The massive disparity – and prospect, first revealed by Fairfax Media, that Australia will receive no significant take from LNG for "decades" – has sparked calls for a public inquiry into the the petroleum resource rent tax or PRRT.

A letter co-signed by 21 left-leaning organisations and unions, including the ACTU, ActionAid, Greenpeace, the Australian Council of Social Service and the Uniting Church, has been sent to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull by the Tax Justice Network urging a Parliamentary inquiry into PRRT.

Here's something for the LNP to be really proud of....

"Australia's economy shrank 0.5 per cent in the September quarter, well below already pessimistic analyst forecasts and its steepest decline since the global financial crisis of late-2008.

Key points:Annual GDP growth 1.8pc, quarterly contraction 0.5pcPublic capital spending, private building investment and net exports drive fallReal net national disposable income rises 0.8pc in quarter on higher export prices

The annual rate of growth came in at an anaemic 1.8 per cent, according to the Bureau of Statistics data, also below expectations."

More unbelievable stuff from this mob of malfeasant misfits:

The govt are going to put a levy on any rival telecommunications network that is not NBNCo.

Telstra & Optus (two telecommunication giants) won't have to pay this levy as they have transferred all their networks to the NBNCo, they will have less that 2000 connections and therefore not subjected to this new levy.

Why is Telstra & Optus transferring their networks to NBNCo? Is the NBN that bad that even Optus or Telstra don't want to deal with it OR  is there further dirty stuff behind the scenes we are not privy to?

The govt did state that they were going to give away.... oops, sorry sell NBNCo.... but who the hell would buy this sh*te NBN network, unless it is cheaper and doesn't have to content with a LEVY... it may be worth something!!

This sh*te NBN network is, even now, not being serviced by NBNCo, even when you pay extra to get higher speeds... they just don't respond.

This leaves Internet Providers (IPs) vulnerable because Australia has excellent Consumer Legislation in place regarding the internet and the services provided.  They would be responsible to consumers for this sh*te system under the legislation..... so, in order that they aren't sued by customers the IPs are putting everyone on new packages and getting everyone to waiver their rights to a problem free internet, because the IPs can't fix the problems and NBNCo don't bother either as their is nothing they can do... it is a sh*te system.

This LEVY on ALL competition such as TPG and exemptions for possible giftees/buyers of NBNCo - Telstra & Optuis), is designed to give NBNCo the edge on pricing and as stated maybe make it worth something. Especially if they can stave off any changes by Labor for the next 10 years... there is a killing to be made, even if it is at the expense of Australia and Austalia's future... this grossly incompetent and corrupt govt don't give a damn, their pockets and future will be looked after.

This LEVY will be automatically passed on to consumers which means your costs will rise and any stifle competition by other telecommunication providers.

REEKS of BREACHES to competition laws but hey, the NBNCo employees have already been taken on AFP raids of Labor political offices where they illegally stole and distributed documents that had parliament protection... NO CHARGE, NO ANYTHING... mainstream corporate (foreign) media were surprisingly silent!  Can you imagine if Labor did this stuff..... bugger me, the sky would fall in.

Anyway, here is a link to an article...   L I N K

Another one:

METADATA...... anyone can get it and use it.... even kids.

Did you know that virtually any CORPORATION can get your data, they sidestep the law by getting ASIO/AFP to do their searches.  Centrelink, Govt Depts and many other private and semi private organisations want access to your PERSONAL INTERNET usage and comments.  Who you link to and who you talk to and what you say.

So now ALL FREEDOM has been taken away from you.... you have to be very careful about what you say and do on line, on the phone ... anytime you use these wonderful modern communication tools, you are tracked and spied upon.

Back to what some PRE-TEENS found a whistleblower in two hours using METADATA!

WHEN WILL IT END.... MORE CORRUPTION!!!

Liberal MP Jamie Briggs who resigned from Malcolm Turnbull’s ministry because of his behaviour in a Hong Kong bar with a female public servant, has been appointed to join board of government enterprise, the Moorebank Intermodal Company Limited.

Yet another Brandis approved appointment.... BRANDIS is one of the most corrupt Attorney Generals Australia has ever witnessed.

CORRUPTION AND INCOMPETENCE:

IT contractors are costing the federal government $80,000 more on average per year than public servants to doing the same work, a new Finance Department report has revealed.

But the use of contractors has exploded to nearly one-third of the public service's IT workforce, with each temp costing $212,000 per year on average against $132,000 for a public servant.

What a wonderful thing... throw out public servants and put in private (foreign ? ) contractors or even 457 visa holders, as the NSW government is doing!

Is this a not the prima CLOWN OUTFIT of all time!

Crucifying Australian jobs and stuffing up the circle of cash flow and with it the economy, so even though it appears like a JOKE.... it is one that has serious repercussions!!

But isn't it all Labors fault? LOL  We need to look at the percentage of Contractors and Consultants being paid more per hour to perform tasks that Public Servants were doing before being made redundant.  We also need to look at how many of these Contractors and Consultants are ex-Public Servants who were given redundancy packages and went to work for private service providors so that they could come back and do the same job they were doing before at inflated rates.

I took a very good package three yeras ago from the Public Service, the last words I heard from my boss was, "Come and see us in a couple of years if you get bored with retirement", I was not the only one to be made this offer.

The other thing that is worth considering is this, Consultants have to be entered onto a register and are tightly overseen by the powers that be whereas Contractors are not reportable, so it is possible for a Department to sack Public Servants and replace them with Contractors at a higher cost and make it appear that staff cuts have been made. This is not a supposition it is a practice that I have witnessed many times first hand.  These decisions are sanctioned at the verry top, so yesw our politicians are responsible for massive funding waste.

ex PS

Excellent contribution... adds more insight to the situation.

Yep..... even more..... with compliments from PlanB

June 2011:
Billionaire mining magnate Gina Rinehart flew Coalition MPs, including the Liberal Party's deputy leader Julie Bishop and Nationals Senate leader Barnaby Joyce, to take part in a sumptuous three day-wedding of a prominent Indian industrialist in Hyderabad. The Reddy family company, infrastructure behemoth GVK, is seeking a controlling stake in coal mines owned by the Hancock group.
(The Age, 17/6/2011)

November 2013:
The federal government has approved a massive coalmining project in central Queensland that will be the largest in the country. The environment minister, Greg Hunt, approved the 37,380-hectare Kevin's Corner project on Friday. The mine (will) be operated by a joint India-Australia consortium, GVK-Hancock.
(Guardian, 4/11/2013)

Someone just has to bring up Mike Baird's resignation here. He's resigning for family reasons.

ROTFLMAO.
