Quite right Hiker, it is a hoax letter and it never ceases to amaze me why anyone would bother to start a topic with such a ridiculous heading.

I beg to disagree. The text, legit or otherwise, pretty well is on the money. Applies in Oz as well.
If you cannot understand the issues contained in the 'letter' then you are clearly one of the voting misfits who keep putting coalition governments back into office to skin you and destroy the country. Quite sad.
Actually PlanB there are those now that actually don't mind a dose of syphilis (or other STI) given that it is curable as against HIV (AIDS being very rare these days particularly in Australia) which though controllable is not yet curable.
Like you Hiker, I scratch my head as to why this poor example for a senior is allowed this behaviour, surely it's bad advertising? However that's none of my business.
So she thinks the reason why people have stopped posting is because of the "5 bullies" ?? I've got news for the Moderator. People have told me they left because of Barak's constant harassment.
What's more, many of the posters on the Main forum do not post on the Meeting Place because of some members. Several have told me, when they are quite sure these members are GONE, then they may start to post on the meeting place.
Doesn't bother me at all if I'm "banned" because I hardly post these days and am on other sites. But shall sit by and wait for these so called "wonderful" members to return and see how much the forum improves.
Want to bet anyone, that it does not as long as the omnivore remains???
Just something I've learnt in life, and that is, it's quality not quantity that counts.
It's far better to have half a dozen really good posters than three times that number of sh** stirrers and vulgarians.

Ray made only one post on this thread about "the letter" and you chose to attack him personally. Makes no sense to me. Ray was agreeing with Hiker (an American). Now the American population consists of almost 400 million or thereabouts. Correct me if you like. I doubt whether 95% of them would agree with "the letter". I doubt whether they will agree with you. Also Mick, your words "the world is not how most people perceive it." What exactly do you mean by that most emphatic statement???
How should people perceive the world?? To my way of thinking one doesn't see the world as it is - they see it according to who and what they are at any given time.

Whether it is old, a hoax or any other criticism people choose to offer, it is a fairly accurate reflection of the attitude of many other nations on the planet. America wants to be the worlds police force (when it suits them) but the harm they do often outweighs any benefit. They are seen to be acting primarily in their own interests rather than improving peace and order in the world.

Kika, I could not agree more, America are the greatest terrorists on earth and always have been, you only have to look to see how many countries they have invaded to know that.
We have also become a number one target for allowing their bases here -- they could not care a hoot about Aussie -- they wanted their bases here because they can reach the likes of China etc better from here.
if you have any doubts about the USA government's intentions to rule the world, ask yourself why they maintain over 800 military bases around the world. and why are they expanding these bases?

It is easy and enjoyable to bag America and I do my fair share, but we should also consider the upside. The U.S. (love 'em or hate 'em) is a SUPERPOWER with arguably the most powerful and sophisticated military on the planet. We "minnows" in the global power pool have scant resources by comparison, so who do we run to if/when threatened?
I see today that Russia has developed a new nuclear missile "Satan 2" which can obliterate an area the size of France with a single weapon. Reports also indicate that the bulk of the Russian population have been training and preparing for a nuclear conflict. Who but the U.S. stands a chance of combating such a threat?
In terms of honesty and integrity, the U.S. government often falls well short of expectations, but we must also be mindful of which side our bread is buttered on.
