Australia's first modelling agency for baby boomers goes live

Have you retired from the rat race and considering what to do next? Perhaps you always wanted to be a model. Well, now’s your shot. Silverfox Management is Australia's first modelling agency for baby boomers and Gen Xers that promotes age-positive fashion.

"We've seen the body positive movement become mainstream, the age positive movement is next," said former model and founder Brigitte Warne.

Do you fit the criteria to get in with Silverfox? Ladies and gents, if you have grey hair, wrinkles and a strong sense of style – go for it!

Amelia - I have grey hair, wrinkles and a strong sense of humour, do you think I might have a

chance?

Think you have every chance Hola:)

I've got almost grey hair, some wrinkles, as for strong sense of style, it's either trackies or denims.

Reagan -  Any man who can trot around the country side riding a horse and wearing  denims is very sexy to me.  Hi Ho Silver.

Only one way to find out, HOLA! I've linked the Silverfox Facebook page in the post.

I am a denim and leather girl too, before riding my bike I sat in the bath to make them tight and then let the air dry them...

Oh the things we did when responsibility was only a word...lol...

Don't know how old the model in the picture is..but she looks lovely. Not very fond of older women with long hair..however she wears it well.

I did some modelling in my youthful days and although I enjoyed it then...don't think I could be bothered now...but go for it people it's great fun....

Amelia -  I have checked out the Silverfox Facebook page and some of those women and  men are just lovely. I don't think I'll persue a modelling career because I might put the others to shame. I did try to look up Silverfox myself and it turned out to be an Escort and massage service, which put me right off.

So funny Hola...perhaps some of our other members might be interested???

ha ha hola,   it is surprising what comes up when certain words are put into google,    i was looking for a present for my grand daughter,   a couple of years back,  knew what i wanted,  but wasnt sure what it would come under,    she loves peacocks,   so was looking for anything that came up under that,    WELL,    im broad minded,   BUT,    i had sites from everywhere come up,   so your silverfox could be anthing, sugar daddies come to mind,  lol,

Hahahaha...I did something similar Cats...

Dinner was late , I was mesmerised by the display. and it wasn't coloured feathers...lol

I am going to have a bo peep at the site too..my pale pink hair and bright blue eyes may take the attention off my body...

I'll let you know...lol

certainly opened my eyes CRANKY,    i thought i had been around and knew a few things,   but seemed i knew nothing ,  of how the other half lives,  anyway,

How not to sell an item.  I won't be buying.

I'm cute and lovable, but a little short and rotund, so don't think I'll stand a chance. Guess I'll have to stick with modelling glasses!

Image result for a cute panda

First the models then the clothing? Lets hope that manufacturers will finally acknowledge that older ADULTS are not all enamoured with baby blue crimpoline and beige jumpers. Some of us are looking for something between the mass produced unbreathable polyester and the DJ designer price tags - age appropriate, figure flattering and affordable cost.

Hmm just looked in the mirror.Think ill give it a miss!!

Bandy -  Now c'mon. Don't put yourself down. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you think

of yourself is very different to what another person thinks, they might think you are hunk to be

persued.  Always think positive.

How about we all bunch up in a corner and make it a unique photo shoot...

Th old Codgers and crones collection....lolol

good idea cranky,   but do you mind if i stand in the back row,  ?  dont want them to see my arthritic knees,   lol,

I think its a good idea Cranky. When you look at advertising, they only seem to cater for the young people and those in their early 30's. When I read that piece in the SMH which said 45 year old Naomi Campbell is still walking the catwalk, it made me smile, she is still a model and is a stick figure and wears clothes which most of us could neither afford or fit into.

I think my modelling days are well and truly over Hola, it's comfort all the way for me, except when the occasion warrants my stepping up to the fashion plate..

then I am a knockout...but once that is over ,the clothes go into storage and it's back to cleaning out the cinders and feeding the mice.... lol

Cranky =  I totally agree with you. I can dress up to look quiet smart but can't wait to get home and into comfy clothes. Remember the old days when we used to wear step-ins? How I hated them, especially in the hot weather. The things we did for fashion.
