Life expectancy in Australi ahs hit an all time high, with newborn girls expected to live to 84.5 years and boy to around 80.4 years.
These new figures are up from 83.3 and 78.5, respectively, a decade ago.
A modern-day 70-year-old woman can now expect 18 more years of life, with 15.6 more for a man of the same age.
Fellas at the ripe retirement age of 65 will typically have another 19.5 years left in them, with women at the same age having another 22.3 years.

My grandfather die at 95 because cancer tumor everything else was ok never sick my grandmother the same ...My mother a bit young at 80 and only because breath cancer otherwise she will probably still alive.
So based on this DNA stuff of my family I probably live until 100 ....dancing and drinking he he he he and my kid are prohibited to make a big thing when I die I told them to have a party to celebrate my great live and finally retirement from Earth .... No cry no funeral Bloody house that cost money or flowers none of that just a party to be happy then continue living......
