According to research by Martin Seligman, a leading positive psychology researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, experiencing positive emotions is one of the building blocks of our wellbeing. It would therefore make sense for us to watch more feelgood shows on TV to increase positive emotions.

According to Barbara Fredrickson, a psychologist at the University of North Carolina, experiencing positive emotions can have a long-term, sustainable impact on wellbeing. When we feel good, our minds open and our awareness broadens – making us more able to think creatively. As a direct consequence, a domino effect of psychological processes is set in motion, incrementally building positive resources such as resilience that can be drawn upon in times of need.

So Spectre watch some shows on TV and who knows, you may become part human.

Oh, and Mak,is Spectre another of your aliases?  Spectre.... I left a message for you on the previous page.

Oh Sophie, you dork, all parts of my brain function normally, and what I SEEM to have difficulty with does not happen.
Obviously you need a psychiatrist, also, look for the switch to change your font to adult font because large font is to teach children to read, is reading and writing difficult for you due to the large font.
Many people care what I watch, many people have had a gut-full of the pathetic, terrible local TV shows that show people acting like kids on play equipment, people messing around with, and wasting good food, and others rollicking about on a dance floor.
Who cares and who doesn't care is of no interest to me, my opinion is what the heading of the thread requested.
Your response, Sophie is immature and childish, and I hope that soon you will be allowed to learn and operate a TV remote to find shows fthat mature, sensible people watch every evening.
All my days are nice, even when reading your unintelligent claptrap.

Hahahah Mak.... didn't take you long to come back with more dunny drivel...so funny!!!

Sophie,  Spectre is a computer techie, lives in London, uses a VPN to visit Aussie sites.
You should check his IP address if you are smart enough, although you wouldn't have a clue about remote access when he
can access Australian sites, including YLC via my computer when VPN UK is overloaded during business hours.I will give you one of his email addresses, you can send him an email and see how a hacker can PWN your computer and shoot your stupid, continuous  ASSUMPTIONS to pieces.
YOU are the pretender, Sophie can be a male or female European name, so give up pretending with your 16 year-old yabber, blah-blah, Hahaha pathetic retorts, you are spineless, gut-less, lost and lonely individual hiding behind
a grey shadow in your picture box, you are a fair-dinkum wimp, your comments prove it.

Been watch The Perfect Planet -- David Attenborough -- but sometimes I have turned it off because the darn music is SO DARN LOUD I can not hear David speak --SO ANNOYING -- why the hell do we have to have this darn background music at all!

I agree PlanB, it does get irritating.

David Attenborough, his excellent productions give people entertainment, learning about the lives and habitats of our planets creatures and is completely honest sensible, absolute true reality TV.

Yes, Mak,  I love his programs but the darn music is drowning out his voice, to the point of being unhearable

This programme sounds interesting tonight

Yes just watched it! Never knew how bad it was, this is technology maybe going too far? It could also be very dangerous, in the future we will not know what is real and what is not, if you are not having trouble already lol. Seriously though it could mean that anyone can claim anything is fake when it might be real. Either way it is quite scary.

I watched that. Scary indeed - a perfect recipe for mass madness and paranoia. If we get to that stage I think many people will begin dropping out to form new communities free from technology. I think that would be my inclination.

So right Ny19, there is probably people dropping out of technology already. We lived without it quite well before without all the stress associated with it.

I have recorded it but have not watched it as yet

No-one can 'Drop Out' of technology, everyone is using IT.
Products using technology were invented hundreds of years ago and we didn't live without 'it', unless you lived naked in a cave, although you have used 'technology' products every day of your life.
To drop out of technology you need technology to do so, but you can't, you are already locked in to it, you are connected to the Internet.
In today’s society, anything is possible with the click of a button or the flick of a switch. These concepts are the result of a little something called technology. Technology is the use of electronically enhanced gadgets to “simplify” life. Humanity and technology have a relationship of depending on one another, but Technology is the dominant partner in the bond. Throughout the years, technology has been controlling the means of communication, the intelligence of humans and the health of society., X-ray was scary when invented.

I agree Mak, no one can opt-out of Technology,  everything is involved in it these days -- before we had it we knew nothing of it and what you don't have you never miss -- but everything is run by it now,  it has some great points and some really bad ones too

Yes PlanB, did your grand-parents have a wireless, that's technology, Morse code for communicating is technology   .....  electricity in the home, hearing aids, and thousands of items we use every day.

"Humans are creatures of hopes and inventions, both of which belie the idea that things should remain static, it continually changes because humans could never be static, that's why they created technology."
Tom Clancy
