Psychic readings and clairvoyants

Anyone had any good or bad experiences?  I probably wouldn't go to one but have an open mind on this subject.

I went once in my 20's in Canberra...had a reading from a very well known clairvoyant.

It was a total waste of money and I have not a single memory of what he told me;  except to say whatever it was was rubbish.

However, as an aside;  there was something in my personal life recently for which I wanted a certain outcome...it did not look like happening.   Remember reading some time ago about something called "the laws of attraction"

For those who maybe do not know what I am talking about here is a brief outline

"Simply put, the Law of Attraction is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. It is believed that regardless of age, nationality or religious belief, we are all susceptible to the laws which govern the Universe – one of which being the Law of Attraction. It is the Law of Attraction which uses the power of the mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize them into reality. In basic terms, all thoughts turn into things eventually. If you focus on negative doom and gloom you will remain under that cloud. If you focus on positive thoughts, and have goals that you aim to achieve you will find a way to achieve them with massive action.

This is why the universe is such an infinitely beautiful place, as the Law of Attraction dictates that whatever can be imagined and held in the mind’s eye is achievable if you take action on a plan to get to where you want to be."

Anyway, surprise, surprise I got exactly the outcome I wanted after I visualised the outcome I wanted which did not have much of a chance of every happening.

i am very interested in phsycic reading,    some years ago a workmate and i went to see one in ST KILDA,     a mrs finkelstien,   she worked with tarot cards,   also giving her a piece of something like a watch,   or something personal,   she could read,      in my reading she told me things thats that NO ONE could have known,     on several subjects,     and my friend,   [who was single,    and no male in her life]     was told she would be changing jobs within 3 months,   and that she would have a son,      when we got outside,   my friend,  [who was my boss at the time,    when i worked at the childrens cheche]    told me that she had been offered another job,    at another creche,   and she was thinking of going,    about 3 weeks later she took the other job,       about 4 years later,   she struck up a frienship,    got pregnant and had a son,      if she was not phsyic,   i have no idea how she could have known what she told me,     it was VERY personal,     so how did she know,   she has gone from there now,[died]    if i could find another one i would go for another reading,  it really intriges me,

Thanks for that story cats, I think you know when someone is genuine and right on the money, we're not stupid, but the trouble is there are so many shonks out there who have been outed as fakes, clairvoyants and physics have got a very bad reputation and if admit an interest in it, you are automatically a nut job.

When I was mid 30s going through a few traumas, I was thinking of many things to get changed around the house.  My younger son was ill at the time and had been given a referral to a pediatrician.  For some reason I was thinking of my late grandfather, a horticultralist and I was also busy in the garden.

I had a lot of balls in the air.

Having said that, I was employed as a TV ratings person, a fill in job between school hours.

My boss was a kindly lady who I had to take my work to each week.

This particular day I had arrived about 15 minutes ahead of two ladies.

My boss and I were talking and suddenly these two women appeared at the Family room door, my boss got up to attend to them.   I switched off and let them talk.

Suddenly one of the women made me turn around.

Are you talking to me I asked?

Yes she said.  You have a brillaint yellow aura that is lighting up this whole room!

I just looked at this stranger.  She went on to say you like yellow?   By this time I was thinking of introducing yellow to my 1970s kitchen!

She went onto say  'Does the name Hobday mean anything to you?'  Well yes it does I replied.

She went on and said    'there is a bald gentleman trying to contact you'  .......

Bald gentleman I thought the only one I know of is my mothers late father, the horticulralist!

I have lots to tell you my dear, but I must rush off, perhaps we can meet up again?

I smiled and thanked her, my boss came back to sit down at her desk.  She turned to me and asked if any of that meant anything to me?

Well yes it did. Said I stunned by now.

My son has a referral to see a pediatrician name Dr Hobday.  Up until I had that referral I had not come across that name Hobday.

Also I am thinking of a yellow kitchen I replied.

My boss said goodness! We always thought that lady was a bit of a nut case, but we will have to take more interest in what she says from now on!

True story.

That's an incredible story and I believe you, there's no way you can explain it.

Attila - What an amazing story, it sought of gives me the shivers when I hear of something like that.

When my Grandfather was first commissioned by the Army to India,  he was about 21 at the time, he went to a Holy man with other friends to have their palms read. It seemed like a big joke to him. The Holy man told him things, which he never told to the others, one was he would die when he was 78. This seemed far fetched to him and soon forgot about it. It must have stuck in his mind for all those years, and he had a few near misses, one was his revolver backfired and blinded him in one eye. Another time he had to deal with a maniac who ran amock with a knife. He was involved in a train accident when he came to Australia. After he retired he had a very quite life but one day he became very ill and had to go to hospital with a ruptured aorta. When he was being wheeled into surgery he told the orderly," this is the last time you'll see me". He died the next day, he was 78.

tHOLA,   thats hsycic extrodinary,   but normally a physic will NOT tell you of your death,    the lady i saw told me,    they never predict a death,        there are a lot in the phone book,  but i wouldnt go to one unless i knew someone who had been and had positive results,     i would love to get anpther done,

I was studying in for my real estate license many years ago, one of the guys in the class started talking about his ability to forsee things.   He turned to me and told me about my past life!  He totally floored me as I had not told him anything.  The lady I was with was pretty shocked too.  We didn't have much to do with him after that.  LOL

I wonder how he did in real estate with any of his pretictions!  LOL

Wonder if he saw the crash coming in the market?

Amazing Attila...and I believe every word because some people do have that gift...I hope he went on to have a good life...

My mother's side is Irish and I well remember as a child her telling me that Dad was to catch a flight from Brisbane on a DC3....when she found out she begged him not to get that flight as she felt it would crash...he didn't and it did!

Also my ex husband was very close to his grandmother.  He had gone away for a weekend in the bush shooting with a couple of his mates.  He was walking along a track when he suddenly stopped and said "I have to go back grandma just died".  He got home to find out she had passed away.

Some things we will never understand.

'

So true Radish, I had a similar experience, I just knew, so much more we are yet to learn about these strange happenings.

They are to Expensive if you find a good one $100.00 & $150.00 .I would never pay that price .I believe a good genuine one shouldn't charge at all

It's a shame they have to charge...but how else would you expect them to feed themselves...and why should you resent paying them if they are providing you with a service?

You have a choice not to go...

………A client since 2013, Oxley phones Colette Baron-Reid once a month for her advice on a wide range of business opportunities and client pitches. Baron-Reid, who calls herself "an intuitive counsellor," charges $800 for an hour session to $10,000 for a full day of her time. “Colette provides me with insight not only into my myself but also about the people I’m up against, and that’s de finitely a strategic edge,” Oxley says.

Considered one of the leading practitioners in her unusual field, Baron-Reid says her clients include top executives in real estate, energy and entertainment industries. Imagine Entertainment co-founder Brian Grazer included Baron-Reid in his book, A Curious Mindwhich profiles leaders in various fields. http://fortune.com/2015/09/21/psychic-business-advice/

After seeing this Colette Baron-Reid’s latest video, I think she’s a very clever con artist. https://youtu.be/DpxDtenJNWA

I was told about Edgar Cayce and got the book for hubby to read (the biggest sceptic on earth)..The Sleeping Prophet.

Edgar never charged for his advice....there is now a Cayce Foundation.  He would do most of his readings without the person even being in the room.

For those interested google Edgar Cayce...well worth a read.   There are numerous other books written by his son I think.

Hubby has about 6 I think now.

my father had some of his books RADISH,    i dont know what happened to them,   must ask my brother,   as he took most of the stuff when dad died,

Unfortunately people are scammed/ conned out of money for a lot of b.s.

Whilst there may be some folk who have some sort of intuition generally speaking I believe psychics and similar folk are swindlers.

Wonder why these Psychic readers and Clairvoyants can never tell us about impending disasters. Maybe it would have come in handy if they saw the Manchester disaster and gave the authorities an early warning.

Who would believe them - I imagine the authorities have a lot of nutters giving warnings of dire events - which would be ignored.

Some did

Nostradamus , baba Vanga, the bible ...

all discredited

I don't see how I was conned it both cases as I did not ask for their readings and I did not pay for them Cindy.

Many police departments all over the world rely on psychics to help them solve cases...

As noted above in my original post I noted some folk may "have some sort of intuition"...however I still maintain that generally speaking most psychics are rip off artists - $4.95 per minute for telephone psychics etc.

Attila - I'm sincerely glad you had a positive experience.

I respect where people are coming from..I respect what they have experienced..and wouldn't dream of denigrating what works for others..

Some people are born with certain gifts..and even they are startled by those gifts...

However..personally I believe whatever a psychic says he/she can do for me...I can do for myself...but that takes years of hard work...

Listen to your intuition with an open mind..it will tell you all you need to know...

Must be a great burden to have so much knowledge and wisdom in one person

those inspirational quotes must really work wonders

and to impart so much wisdom to our fellow YLC members without sounding patronising takes great humility

No..it's not a great burden...it gives me great joy to know I have not wasted my time and the talents that the Universe gave me...I am sorry you were not able to do the same...

The "inspirational quotes" can be very helpful to anyone..and yes...I have reaped the benefits but now others read them..(not particularly anyone who posts regularly on the forum)...and now they reap the benfits...

Make no mistake...I am not "humble"..I am practical..I put my words into action and instead of giving an ear to the negatives I tend to ignore them..

You will never get past my aura...waste of time..but then again you seem to have a lot of that commodity to waste...

Good luck with the rest of your life!

Yes I can sense the aura oh great one

there is no way I can get close to your aura of enlightenment attained through years of practicing your wisdom and talents, let alone be able to prick it

Now you're beginning to understand!

CINDY LOU,   i would NEVER pay those ones that adv, for phone calls,    i think they are definatly scams,     but the lady i saw,   i had never met before,   and the person i was with knew nothing of the things she told me,    they were not general things,   as in,  you will change your job,    or move house,    which could suit anyone,    what she tolf me,   only i and 2 very close family members knew,      she MUST have been physicic,    no other way of knowing,     and i am a person that takes things with a grain of salt,   i certainly DONT believe everything im told,   i just wish i could  fine another reputable one to go to,

Catsahoy...I am not saying absolutely no one has some sort of intuition etc., my grave concern is when "some people" make money out of other folks who may be vulnerable.  Problem is how does an individual sort out who is genuine and who is speaking a load of crap.

Really, 'if you had a crystal ball' and knew what was going to happen but couldn't change things, you'd smash the crystal ball.  We are not meant to know the future.  Likewise, the past is gone...no point dwelling.

ROFLMAO at Raphael - only "auru" from the "gifted enlightened and ohhh so learned one" is total BS !!  lol lol lol

You better believe it Foxy

that woman in a psychic

she even saw the Beatles sing "imagine " in 1963

years before John recorded it

i think she helped John write the song with her special aura

Yes old thing..you are correct..."better believe it"...never underestimate the power of a psychic...the results may be not to your liking...

Image result for spinning mandala animation

I see........people

CINDY LOU,   i do agree there are more sharks out there than genuine people,    if you dont want to know,   then dont go,   but i am interested in what they say,   but true clarvoiants dont tell you about death or impeding disasters,    because some people would fret and worry over what they thought was going to happen,  could cause a heart attack ,

Curious about psychic predictions, I found someone called Milton Black, Australia's top astrologer and psychic.  Here he predicts what the stars say about Donald Trump in 2017.

Donald Trump (Gemini) according to his horoscope will make a good president, his chart is starting exceptionally well on a positive note throughout 2017 and his chosen cabinet will be the best the USA has seen in office for many years. Instead of career diplomats doing most of the global negotiations and decision making, the world will witness a superb team of tough, disciplined, skilful negotiating and marketing business professionals who will show signs of turning the USA trade and economy around within the first twelve months in office. The individual horoscopes of his cabinet candidates appear unhampered by any major planetary difficulties during 2017. The world will be surprised and perhaps gobsmacked with such a fast forward development in a short period of time with the business actions of the new Trump government. The US media is predicted to have egg on their face in 2017.

Think Milton's onto a 'good thing'.

Be sort of interesting to see how his 2017 predictions turn out.

I am not a skeptic nor am I a believer about these things, I like to keep an open mind because I've come across some weird things over the years especially in countries in South Amnerica and the West Indies.

I've heard about the voodoo rituals in those countries Banjo..I spent some time in Africa when was young and witnessed a witch doctor going into a trance...it was terrifying..and at the same time fascinating..

I think one has to have a susceptible mindset to be affected by these thngs...

I would strongly say to people who are going through a vulnerable time in their lives not to visit these psychics...

OK here is something to think about.

Hypnosis.

My gut is telling me that is how ISIS is filtrating our society.

My head is fighting this feeling, but I have had it for some time.

I think predictions can happen to us all if we listen to our own bodies, I know it happens to me.

Hubby cannot relate to what I see he follows science.

But I think that this one day will be part of science.

[He just wants me to see the winning Lotto numbers!]

I explained to him it is not like that!

This is one person that has always fascinated me, Piero da Vinci.

Imagine the intellect he had far before his time, no wonder his writings are backwards, the world was not ready for him.

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, more commonly Leonardo da Vinci or simply Leonardo, was an Italian polymath whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music,

Died: 2 May 1519,

Clos Lucé, Amboise, France

Now that's food for thought Attila...
