Takata alpha airbags require immediate replacement

Consumers need to take immediate steps to have their airbags replaced if their car has a Takata ‘alpha’ airbag installed. Alpha bags are a higher risk subset of the Takata bags being recalled.

The Roll of affected cars just becomes bigger and bigger, and some of the brands affected are not just the asian or normal household ones. More BMW & Mercedes among other brands starting to appear in more numbers with some Motorcycles also now included.

I've cheked mine about a few months ago but have been advised by ACCC to do another check..... it looks as if we are going to have to keep checking the lists

I had mine replaced but I would feel much better if they could just remove them altogether --- but the law says they can't

This is old news and all of ours have been replaced.

Tom, this new “news” released today, 27 May 2018.

Takata airbag recall continues, with ACCC adding another million cars to the list.

Ours were changed over a year ago

A check is still needed as many vehicles were replaced with the same model of airbag.

These too need replacing.

This is definitely a new recall. It is a diffent list of cars.

Yes, it was only announced over the weekend...more brands are now involved.

Don't have a crash and you will be ok. After driving accross Melbourne yesterday I don't need to go to the fair ground dodgems for a while. I saw some terrible driving.

........With spiraling debts estimated at more than $9 billion, Takata (TKTDY)  is seeking bankruptcy protection in Japan and the U.S

We should be able to have the bags removed completely
