Google still tracking you even after opting out

An investigation from the Associated Press has revealed that many Google services store your location data even if you have updated your privacy settings to not track or store this data.

In response to the critism the company has received since this information was revealed, Google updated the help page from saying "… with Location History off, the places you go are no longer stored." to now saying "This setting does not affect other location services on your device" and acknowledges that "some location data may be saved as part of your activity on other services, like Search and Maps.".

Are you surprised that Google may still have been tracking your location and storing the data even after you opted out? Will you be looking to move away from using Google's services in the near future due to privacy concerns?

No

Will you be looking to move away from using Google's services in the near future due to privacy concerns?

No

If you are concerned, the article Drew has a link to above, gives the steps for how to stop Google tracking you.

Opting out makes no difference, once you're in they've got you forever. Similar to facebook.

"Will you be looking to move away from using Google's services in the near future due to privacy concerns?"

Where are you going to go? Apple are no better!

Explorer is not any different...infact, none of the other browser are...They all collect and...SELL!

This is a symptom of the times.  Governments have never before had the technology to track the human race or to control its money.  Computers have made both a reality.

And you wonder what the 'devil' described in the bible is talking about?  Some being with horns and a tail?  No way.  It is the systematic manipulation and control of the human race through computerised methods.  And "the beast has a number.....666".  Yeah....real funny, but stay tuned.

Can't run, can't hide, they will always find you, whatever you do, wherever you go.  Fact of life these days I'm afraid

No - I don't care, if they want to follow me getting milk at the supermarket good luck to them, I have nothing to hide.
