I have not had that needle but I do know a little about it. You will have to wait at least 7 to 9 days to feel effects of any sort. You are brave? to have had this needle, it's something I would not recommend people do. Hope all goes well for you.

I have had 4 of these needles over time done by the Radiologist. You do not feel anything as they anaesthetise the area and then under x-ray guide the needle to the problem area causing your pain.  Absolutely no big deal and has always relieved my pain for very lenghty periods.  I now have had an operation on the real problem causing the pain in the first palce. I am 73 now.

I sympathize with you re the pain -- but as I have the same type of thing in both legs and back I refuse to have these needles as they weaken your bones -- and as I already have severe Osteoporosis/Ostio Arthritis/Spinal stenosis and fractures,  I do not want it to get even worse.

Although not really relevant to the topic, I had an epidural for my second hip replacement 3 weeks ago.  It was different this time.  The first time I was bombed out on drugs and was unaware of everything, including memory loss.  This time, I woke as bright as a button but my body was completely numb from the waist down.   It was a very strange experience but if I had a choice I would go for second option.  Just my opinion.

I have had one on the Thoracic in 2003; recently the L5 facet joint on 17th March.  You have to rest as much as possible for a few days for it to work. Some don't and do not get a good result, I rested for a couple of days, no heavy lifting.  I think it was no more than a couple of kgs.

It was difficult for us at the time as I had to drive myself, husband had just had chemo for his leukemia.  We have been trying to avoid the Caronavirus in the meantime!

L5 was affecting my right leg.  It is fairly good now, nothing like it was, but the left leg is starting to give me issues.  Besides the right hip which needs replacing.

Good luck with your treatment the worst part about it is thinking about it and keeping very still!
