A sting operation in DC last year including secretly filmed footage of Hanson's top advisor James Ashby and Qld's One Nation leader Steve Dickson discussing raising funds from the powerful NRA gun lobby group. Undercover reporter Rodger Muller states Dickson quoted he hopes to raise $10 or even 20 million dollars to help change the 'balance of power in the House of Representatives and the Senate.'

'If we could get that amount of money we could change Australia'

'You'd have the whole government by the balls'

Stunning reading, the meetings took place just before the Australian government banned foreign donations.

'This is about getting a political wing in Australia that can actually work hand in glove with the US and the way the United States thinks' ...Dickson says.

So why don't you FO and live in the US Dickson?

I'm not a Mark Latham admirer but he does make sense with this comment:

Speaking to Alan Jones on 2GB , Mr Latham said alcohol was “no excuse” for the way his colleagues acted.

“They said they had been on the drink. That’s no excuse,” Mr Latham said when asked about the comments Mr Dickson made about Muslims and violence.

Mark Latham also said,

"This three year entrapment exercise is completely unprecedented in Australian democracy", and,

"I think it is quite remarkable that a news agency headed by a guy who came from the ABC, now working for this Arabic news outfit, would spend three years paying someone to deliberately deceive, lie, spy, connive and set up these Queensland One Nation officials" [ABC link]

Mr Latham, went on to voice allegations of collusion by the ABC which, if there is any basis at all, should be subjected to independent review.

That may be of importance to you. I posted only what is of importance to me!

I try to keep an open mind. It is a shame that Mark Latham, representing traditional working class values as he does, has become alienated from the Labor Party. He is refreshingly a commitment politician.

If you are saying to at least consider and weigh what they say, compare and contrast with others and taking your own life experience info account, decide what makes sense (whew that was long), and I sense you might be saying that, then I agree.

As for the two fools, what can you say, except that the ship of State seems to have a lot of them. The major parties protect their own and so do the media generally speaking because all have their little secrets :(

My beef is that the lack of internal democracy in the political parties, the favouritism and deals in preselection processes and the shabby media treatment of political hopefuls all conspire to put the good experienced people off going into politics, which is a great pity. The families and private life should be left out of it IMHO, except where it significantly impacts on decisions, which would not be often.

You should have saved your breath. I was "saying" none of those things.

I repeat,read people's posts and don't put your own words into it. That's not your place to do so.

No Abe, I won’t ignore him/her. He/she is a propagandist. I won’t have anyone telling me they know what I mean. I write what I mean and won’t let a couple of toothpicks try and dissect it. End of story:). The same thing was done to Bijou and several others recently.
