Avoid Huawei smartphones

Donald Trump has added Huawei to a list of companies U.S. firms cannot trade with, casuing Google to stop doing business with Huawei.

Chipmakers including Intel Corp., Qualcomm Inc., Xilinx Inc. and Broadcom Inc. have told their employees they will not supply Huawei until further notice.

Currently, Huawei phones use Google's Android operating system and while Google suggests that basic services will still function and access to the Google Play app store will remain, experts are suggesting that Huawei phones will miss out on future software updates and lose apps such as YouTube.

Huawei is likely to move to a stripped-down version of the Android operating system going forward and may lose access to key software aps such as Maps and Gmail.

If you are looking to purchase a new smartphone, i'd stay well clear of Huawei smartphones at this stage.

You should try a mobile phone stylus pen, which should make texting a lot easier.
