Hasbeen, I don't disagree with you re the
' leading to too many academics struggling for research grants to fund their employment'
However, I did think it unnecessary the way they handle the Animals AND the waste
Plan B, notice that there was no reference to Australian farming practices. It is true that for some one who has not encountered it before, some aspects of intensive animal husbandry may be confronting, but in this country there is a general aim to work in harmony with nature.
The broadcast of this program on SBS is normal for their bias against any progressive technologies. Note that in her visit to the Amazon, she was shepherded by Greenpeace members, so you can be sure that they took her to areas of extreme damage. It may not be all like that.
If we all ensure that we only purchase Australian sourced meat products, we can be fairly confident that ethical standards have been observed at all stages.
