This will be an interesting race to watch for those who follow athletics. Was listening to ABC sports reporter in the early hours and he said they may as well give out the gold, silver and bronze now as the outcome is already known. His words not mine.

It's an interesting problem. Society has historically always been divided in a male/female way, and the outliers were just treated as oddities. Now they are becoming accepted and acknowledged for what they are, which has to be a good thing.
Obviously that traditional male/female divide is no longer ideal.
Do we need such a divide at all? Maybe it should be abolished.
Maybe the divide should be tall people and small people. Some sports (boxing, rowing) effectively already do that.
Maybe testosterone levels......
