Sir,

So another terrorist has been shot dead after an orgy of killing innocent people. Like almost all of those before him he was heard to shout 'Allahu Akbar' before police opened fire. Am I alone in thinking that shooting another human being for uttering a cliché is not exactly a measured response? We know of the Apostrophe Police, and yes it is annoying to those of us who hold dear the English language but if only for humanitarian reasons can we cease this terrible waste of human life of those who seem to lack a degree of being articulate over their demands.

         We hear you ISIS and yes God really is Great. The majority of us agree. We get the message. To promote this universal truth - and I think I speak on behalf of most Christians - has ISIS thought of an alternative to slaughter and beheadings; perhaps a commercial with a snappy jingle, shown during peak viewing times on all TV channels, including the Beeb. I'm sure they would even consider a subsidy to your organisation to do so.
