My FIL developed Azheimers, was terrible for the family, my Hubby is an only child and was very close to his Dad, he was devasted when his Dad didn't recognise him and so where our kids.

I'm actually, along with many other volunteers, involved in a study by Professor Ralph Martins who is leading in the research of early diagnosis of Alzheimers. The study is being done through the McCusker Foundation, the website is: http//:www.alzheimers.com.au it is a good read and the most up to date you will get on this condition.
