You have to wisely spend (invest) money in order to save money, be it energy-saving light bulbs, solar panels, or a drip watering system. People, however, are penny-wise and dollar-foolish with little thought for the future and what can be gained and/or saved when looking further than the end of their nose. And, these are the same people who complain when left in the dust by those who have used common sense and forethought when planning for the future. Just sour grapes, once again.
