Airline to link Australians to key global destinations

From Etihad Airways

You will be required to wear a face mask throughout your journey, but, as of 10 June, Etihad Airways will link 20 cities in Europe, Asia and Australia via Abu Dhabi, making it possible for those travelling on the airline’s current network of special flights to connect easily through the UAE capital onwards to key global destinations

Etihad recently launched links from Melbourne and Sydney to London Heathrow, allowing direct transfer connections to and from the UK capital via Abu Dhabi.

Etihad will continue to operate a network of special flights throughout June from Abu Dhabi to previously announced destinations across its international network.

Easy transfer connections via Abu Dhabi will now be available from Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo to major cities across Europe including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Heathrow, Madrid, Milan, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Zurich.

Those wishing to book are advised to visit www.etihad.com/transfer to view their options, and to remain informed on the appropriate entry regulations at their end destination.

Etihad continues to follow UAE and international government, regulatory and health authority directives, and is playing its part in helping to limit the spread of COVID-19. The airline has implemented an extensive sanitisation and customer safety programme and is practicing the highest standards of hygiene at every part of the customer journey. This includes catering, aircraft and cabin deep-cleaning, check-in, health screening, boarding, inflight, crew interaction, meal service, disembarkation and ground transportation, among others.

More information on the stringent measures being taken by Etihad Airways to provide a healthy and hygienic travel experience is available at www.etihad.com/wellness.

I thought our borders are closed. Are they opening up again on 10th June? I hope not!

Why, why, why, government?  Please keep the borders closed and keep the Covid-19 and the 2nd Wave out.

Great news indeed! I'm trapped O/s in lockdown & looking for a return flight.

Totally aggree with LornaH comments.  Borders should stay closed for a ittle while longer especially after lasts weekends protest march.  We need to see if the rate of infection has risen due to a lot of people being in close proximity.  Also the easing of restrictions in the states.

Why do people here on this site continually not bother to check "official" websites for accurate and up-to-date information?

This is just an Etihad press release and has no relevance to anything in Australia.

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GOT TO BE TOLD.  AUSTRALIA'S BORDERS ARE CLOSED.

We cannot leave Australia without a very very very good reason, and we are not welcoming visitors, only returning residents who must still undergo quarantine for 14 days.

When that changes you will be told.

Since you are too lazy to look it up for yourselves, here is the link.
