Alert on Internet Explorer from Germany via BBC

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8463516.stm

I don't use it myself - but of course have it together with 6 and 7 - cluttering up the computer and all are a hazard.

I have Secunia PSI and it says no solution to the problem and it seems that M$ has known for yonks but cant or wont fix it.

A recent alert on the favourite Firefox - was about the plug ins and not the browser - it is completely secure from hacking just dont put on plug in or extensions that are not recommended as safe wit secure signatures etc.

Fed up with worrying that you may have missed a patch on a program including M$?

Download Secunia PSI which scans and tells yo if a patch is available and also gives you the link to go get it.

Get it here Secunia site

Slow to load and shut down - maybe you havent cleared your cache lately and it is chock a block full of those pages you have been reading!

Get that here as wellccleaner site

BTW - if you do use Ccleaner - go to cookies and click on and transfer those you want over to save or it will clear them off too every day you use it - won't take long to get the ones you want and you don't need to configure FF or other browsers to clear its cache as the cleaner will do it for you and clean up left over bits of old programs you have deleted in your registry safely by asking you if you want a back up and so if not sure - click on and back up as you can restore if you find shouldn't have - easy for everyone to use - :)

Nothing like good free programs to make you feel good about your computer and its running without the hassles.

Why anybody still uses IE is beyond me. I abandoned it years ago. Wish I could delete it ot of my confuser but don't know how. I use Chrome. It is fast and clean and does all I need. I also have Firefox but my satellite connection is so fast it leaves Firefox behind. On my little 10 inch travelling confuser, I run Opera at present. It is a bit like Chrome and I'm happy with it. I have Google Chrome as well.......a technician put me onto it a while ago and have been very happy with it.

Also run Firefox since BigVal put the hint out on here, as this forum in particular was hopeless with IE.

Have a look at Opera--bit complicated, but you get used to it.

I'll certainly have a look at it...thanks.

The Federal Government has ramped up warnings about Microsoft's web browser Internet Explorer, which has come under attack from hackers.

The Government is warning that people risk having their computers infiltrated and passwords stolen unless they install temporary fixes from Microsoft or use alternative browsers.

The Government says Microsoft has acknowledged all recent versions of the program are vulnerable.
