Aspirin can be a life saver!

I realise many know all this!
I also know many have read it before,
but I know it never hurts to reiterate anything we hear as it may help just one person who may have missed it, and if it saves heartache that has to be good :) Everyone has the right as long as they have the knowledge to choose what to do in an emergency.

ASPIRIN!!!!!!

1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night.
The reason: aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life". Therefore, if most Heart Attacks
happen in the wee hours of The morning, the aspirin would be strongest in your system.

2. FYI, aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest.

Please read on

WHY ASPIRIN BY THE BED saves lives ...

It is important to always have ASPIRIN in the home!!!

Why have Aspirin by the bedside ?

ABOUT HEART ATTACKS:
There are other symptoms of a heart attack besides the pain down the left arm.

One must also be aware of an intense pain in the jaw, as well as nausea and
Lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

NOTE : There may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up.
However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

If that happens, IMMEDIATELY DISSOLVE TWO ASPIRINS IN YOUR MOUTH and
Swallow them with a bit of water
Afterwards, phone a neighbor or a family Member who lives very close by and
State "HEART ATTACK!!!" And that you have taken 2 ASPIRINS
Take a seat on a chair or sofa and wait For their arrival and ....

DO NOT LIE DOWN !!!
a life could be saved!

All the best

I did not know most of that but will make sure I do have a packet of aspirin and water near the bed.

I have taken aspirin but just now and again when I remember to, but will be more organised to take it each day thanks for the info. Phyl.

Hi Phyl, my sister got stomach ulcers from taking an aspirin every day, best to check with your doctor first, he really bawled her out.

I have taken 100mg of enteric-coated aspirin since I had a stroke in1986on advice of my specialist. 18 months later I had a second stroke. Thanks to the aspirin no damage was done to my brain and I have had no brain bleeds since.

I take enteric-coated aspirin because I have a Barrett's oesophagus (not caused by the aspirin)

I have also been advised by my specialist that most stomach ulcers are caused by infection with the Helicobacter pylori bacterium. I also have high blood pressure and have been advised by my G.P "don't forget to take your aspirin daily"as it offers some protection in case of a heart attack.

To me aspirin has been a life saver.

But then again.

One meat is another mans poison.

I wholeheartedly agree get Doctor's advice before taking anything with other medication especially Grapefruit Juice....

I do know of many people who have had their lives saved with aspirin and others especially in the case of strokes an aspirin

if a person feels they may have had a stroke and even two aspirins and sit down - do not lie down and get help immediately has saved a lot of deaths and brain damage.

I agree do what you feel best for you but I certainly do take Aspirin every day as advised by my Heart Specialist :)

I am not sure what people with ulcers can do as I have heard Aspirin is not for them so of course take your health Care Professionals advice every time.

All the best in good health

Phyl.
